The Fox is an historic building with a story centuries in the making. Dating back to the early 1700s, our beautiful building first opened as a pub in the early 1800s and has remained at the heart of the community ever since. The Fox carries generations of character, charm, and heritage within its walls and could no doubt tell a devilish tale or two.
After a period of closure, the future of The Fox became uncertain. But thanks to the passion, support, and determination of the local community to keep its spirit alive, she was given a second chance. The Wine Devil – with a passion for rescuing places at risk of being lost forever – stumbled across The Fox and carefully restored her to her original glory, while paying homage to her rich roots and timeless spirit.
Original features have been lovingly revived, and long-hidden treasures uncovered over the years now sit proudly alongside thoughtfully chosen modern touches, allowing the building’s true beauty to shine once more. More than just a pub, The Fox has once again become a place where heritage, hospitality, community, and a touch of mischief come together.
